1.7? What is this exotic fruit, and what does it taste like?

On the list of things to take care of, removing Playmyth sounds pretty nice....of course getting the game to run Quicktime instead of .smk would also be great....
I decided to look up in the sky, and lo and behold there was a BoB. I stared at him, and he stared back. There was silence for a great while until he said in a thunderous, booming voice..."Okay, Okay, DON'T Frogblast the ventcore."

1.7 kicked off as a result of this thread (strong language warning, cover childrens eyes while reading).

For those who don't want to read it, among all the flames were serious complaints about alleged gameplay changes. Some of them have proved to be true (ie bugs that have been introduced since 1.3) and quite a few were demonstrated to exist in 1.3 - its just that ppl forgot :) Heh, all those trow pathfinding bugs that ppl complained about early in the thread - yep, exactly the same in 1.3.

So ... we decided to address the post 1.3 bugs _and_ in an astonishing display of bravery, to address some of the Bungie bugs as well. Blame ducky & Tai if it doesn't work out!

We're also working on introducing a few other nice things in the update as well. Melekor's detail textures for one. Resizable overhead maps for high res displays for another. There's quite a few things on the list actually, all aimed at making the game's experience more enjoyable for the average player.

We're about mid-way through the dev process atm, but things aren't going as quickly as they were back in the old days. The level of enthusiasm & intensity isn't quite as high as it was, and our developers are coming & going with Real Life issues etc. I'm confident we'll get it done though - but please don't overload us with a ton of feature requests. We're doing what we can, but we really _do_ want to get it released before the next MWC starts on mnet ;)
