Re: links on creation website dead
Yeah, I liked them for allowing the script I had in place to do this d/l trick, but now that that is no longer an issue I'm not as enamored. I have a sneaky feeling most hosting companies have similar policies: things like "unlimited space" but then you can't use your hosting for storing a...

Re: links on creation website dead
Ok - first cut of this is now in place. "bigger" files will now do a straight HTTP download. Will test more later.

Re: links on creation website dead
Looks like it is our hosting company. They have some other new limit for long-running PHP scripts and this would come under that category. Sigh. So, I will adjust the way this is processed on the OoH site to turn it into a regular link and let the browser take over from there. This will simplify thi...

Re: links on creation website dead
Opened a ticket with our hosting company. Want to confirm they didn't blacklist the downloader by mistake (they did this once before). Is your d/l stopping midstream about the same time each time? (e.g. 7-8 minutes in)? Are you on a slightly slower connection? Does a d/l work for you for smaller fil...

Re: links on creation website dead
I was able to fire up a TSG multiplayer game using 1.8 after re-downloading. I also compared the files to that on the Addicts site and they are identical once unzipped. What are the errors you are getting unzipping? What O/S and unzip are you using? Unzipped the files look like this to me: TSG Level...

Re: links on creation website dead
The .7z version vanished (no idea why). It could be when the page was whacked it caused problems, but my guess is when the hosting company was "reviewing" the site they had issues with the download processor (this was an issue once upon a time). Should be ok now. Just in case I unzipped th...

Re: links on creation website dead
I cant fathom as to why somthing of a mismanaged website full of coding errors upon loading the screen of creation is the sole source for its content. It seems odd that places like Myth Graveyard and even this site doesnt just host the content for the sake of the communitity. Someone should just co...

Re: links on creation website dead
After being away for quite a while on the road I did a once through on the Creation Mirror of the OoH site. There were some simple-to-fix PHP errors related to updates on the hosting company's server (the original code has some legacy stuff floating around). Also the hosting company was throwing min...

Re: Ingame link to creationgames mirror?
(1) If the plugin/map is on Clem's site's Mapz link , then I would lean towards it being one of his creations, which probably shouldn't be posted to The Tain. Seeing as he essentially posted every Creation map as his favorite on that page, that isn't a good way to judge. I checked Creation's map li...

Re: Ingame link to creationgames mirror?
I agree that anything made by Creation that is not one of Clem's personally made maps/plugins should be available on The Tain now -- unless the remaining active people from Creation who made it object for some reason. I'd say post these and if there are complaints then act accordingly. But as far as...

Re: Looking for obscure maps
Vinyl-- I've been on the road for several weeks and just saw this post. I know I have some of these maps/plugins, but won't be able to access until I get home again (probably a couple of weeks or more from now). Will let you know what I find then. I'm always amazed how many obscure and intriguing pl...

Re: Could Pleasant Valley Sunday be added to the tain?
Hey Guys-- I don't see Pleasant Valley Sunday anywhere in the Creation/Clem archive I received from Clem. It appears to me to be a Cydonian project only (i.e. not Creation) since I do not see any reference to Creation in the readme.txt/copyright.txt in the zip I have from The Mill. My guess is it ei...

I thought this sneak preview of Movie: The Movie was pretty funny (although a little long) - anyone else see this?

Re: TSG Vets
Yep, I'm just hosting it on the OoH Creation Mirror.
I thought about porting the units to the Anywhere series, but it ended up in the "maybe at a later date" category.
